Fort Dix hero may need immunity!

There is something that seriously needs change in this country when something like this can occur.

The main reason the Islamic terrorists who planned to attack Fort Dix were apprehended in time was because a heroic video store clerk saw a jihad training video that these cretins had brought in to his store be converted into a DVD...and notified the authorities.

Now, it appears that the Fort Dix hero may actually need immunity to avoid being sued as a "John Doe" or whistleblower...and apparently there's already some reason to believe that he might be!

"The events in Fort Dix are just another reminder of the need for this legislation," said Rep. Steve Pearce, New Mexico Republican and author of legislation to protect "John Doe" passengers being sued by CAIR for reporting the suspicious behavior of a group of Muslim imams aboard a US Airways flight in that famous case of the Jumpin' Imams.

"We owe a debt of gratitude to this individual for alerting authorities to this potential terrorist attack and thwarting what could have been a terrible disaster. I can only imagine how grateful the men and women at Fort Dix and their families are for the courage of this person to take action when he saw something suspicious," Congressman Pearce said.

M. Zuhdi Jasser, director of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and someone whom Joshua's Army members are already familiar with weighed in as well:

"What if this 'John Doe' had contrarily chosen to be silent due to a fear of litigation?" Dr. Jasser said.

The way things stand right now, there are no protections in place for those who report on matters like this, and they can be sued for violating the civil rights of potential jihadis, something CAIR and their cohorts at the ACLU have taken advantage of up until now.

Congress needs to slam the door on this type of malicious legal jihad immediately.

You write: "Congress needs to slam the door on this type of malicious legal jihad immediately." Yes, I agree, however, I would not expect the Democrats to do this. One of the main constituents is trial lawyers. Also, I'm not optimistic that Republicans would do it either. The msm will viciously slander anyone who would dare propose this. Even if though we likely cannot pass something like this now, I would hope that there would be a few Congressional critters with the courage to propse slamming the door on this type of legal Jihad. At least this way the legislation will be on the table to be passed when we can get it passed.

Unfortunately a WMD terrorist attack is very likely to occur in the future. If it happens, I expcet the American people to punish the peaceniks and to punish them hard. At least after a WMD terrorist attack, we will FINALLY be able to do what we need to do to defend this country. I would like to take the appropiate steps now to prevent this from happening but alas the optimal policies cannot be implemented now.

The store video clerk may need to be placed in the witness protection program. Jihadis have shown themslves to be absolutely ruthless. They have shown that they are perfectly willing to kill anyone who would dare get in their way. I hope the US governemnt will do everything they can to protect this person.
