Ahmadinejad Won't Be Allowed to Visit Ground Zero

Apparently New York City officials have rejected Iranian President Ahmadinejad's request to pay a visit, real friendly like, to the site of the World Trade Center bombings at Ground Zero when he's at the UN.

Good. if I had a say, he wouldn't even be allowed in America.

Apparently there is still some diplomatic back-and forth going on about this between Washington and New York City. If President Bush and Condi Rice allow Ahmadinejad to visit Ground Zero, they will forfeit whatever credibility they have left in view of General Petraeus' testimony on Iran's activities against our troops.

Oh, by the way, Ahmadinejad is also scheduled to speak at Columbia University while he's here.
Lovely how these people support freedom of speech..unless you're talking about a conservative, a patriot, or someone like Jim Gilchrist of the Minutemen,

UPDATE: This continues to be in play...apparently the NYPD has refused to protect Ahmandinejad on a visit to Ground Zero, but the US Secret Service has apparently been drafted to do so!

If this goes down, I can only hope that a cadre of New Yorkers and our elected officials turn out to put a wall of in-your-face Americans between Ahmadinejad and Ground Zero. Having this enabler of Islamist terorism there is an insult to everyone who died in the attacks, as well as to the rest of us.

Enough is enough.
