Charlie Rangel Meltdown: 'Fire Your Best Shot'
Congressman Charlie Rangel made a rare use of a member's right to make a "point of personal privilege" on the House floor to go postal in defending himself from thirteen separate charges against him from the House Ethics Committee.
Unmitigated gall and contempt personified:
"You're not going to tell me to resign to make you feel comfortable," the 80-year-old New York Democrat said after reminding the Democratic side of the aisle that "I'm the guy that was raising money in Republican districts to get you here."
"If I can't get my dignity back here, then fire your best shot and get rid of me through expulsion," he said.
The speech was cheered by about three dozen Democrats in attendance,mostly members of the Congressional Black Caucus. I'm sure the race card will be in play shortly, especially since fellow congressional crook Maxine Waters is also up on charges.

I'm sure the Democrats will close ranks around him. They always do. Also, since like minded folks run the main stream news media, they will likely close ranks around him too. In the end, Mr. Rangel's Congressional career survives.
The strategy that will be used will be a combination of the "race card" and if the mean old Republicans get their way you are going to lose some of the Government programs that benefit you. These strategies work because politically America is a left of center nation. As of right now, they are NOT as far left as Obama and his team would like to take them but in the end they are more comfortable with liberals than conservatives.
A definition of the terms might be needed. Today a Conservative is actually a classic liberal. When people say they are conservatives in actuality they are classic liberals. A liberal is actually a marxist. As such, there is currently no real conservative movement in this country.
